At The Lost Acre, we are proud to be a "net zero" farm, which means we produce as much clean energy as we use! We’ve added 30 solar panels that soak up the sun’s rays and turn them into power for everything we do. This renewable energy provides all the electricity for our buildings, our equipment, and even our car! By catching the sun’s energy, we can run our farm without relying on outside power sources, helping to keep the air clean and the planet healthy for future generations.

Quiet and Clean Farming

To make sure our farm is as peaceful as it is green, we have said goodbye to noisy, smelly gas engines. We have no gas-powered tools at The Lost Acre; instead, all of our mowers and trimmers run on 100% electricity. This means there are no exhaust fumes and much less noise, making the farm a quiet sanctuary for our flowers, our pollinators, and our visitors. By using sun-powered tools and driving an electric vehicle, we are showing that a beautiful flower farm can thrive while leaving a tiny footprint on the Earth.
