Nature’s Tiny Superheroes
Pollinators—like bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds—are nature’s tiny superheroes with a very big job. As they travel from bloom to bloom drinking sweet nectar, they spread sticky golden dust called pollen. This magic dust is exactly what plants need to create seeds, fruits, and new flowers! Without these busy little friends, we wouldn’t have delicious treats like apples, blueberries, or pumpkins to eat. They are the reason our gardens grow and our plates are full of healthy food.
A Safe Haven at The Lost Acre
At the farm we work hard to make sure these important helpers have a safe and happy home. We grow a huge variety of colorful flowers that bloom at different times, ensuring the pollinators have a delicious "all-you-can-eat buffet" from spring all the way to autumn. Most importantly, we do not use any pesticides. Keeping our plants free of these chemicals ensures our fields remain a safe, healthy place for bees and butterflies to rest, eat, and raise their families. When you visit The Lost Acre, you can trust that nature is thriving exactly the way it should!
